This is one of the ultimate Halloween songs but I listen to it all the time. My personal favorite I Put a Spell on You is the Screamin’ Jay Hawkins version I’ve shared with you below but I also love the Creedence Clearwater Revival version, the Nina Simone version, and who can forget the beloved movie version with Bette Midler in Hocus Pocus. I even love Notorious B.I.G.’s “Kick in the Door” which samples Screamin’ Jay Hawkins version of I Put a Spell on You.
This song can do no wrong I tell you! I might even say that it’s put a spell on me….
