A Comfydent Night Out in Hanes

I talk about the importance of feeling comfortable in your clothes all the time on this site. I believe that if you do not feel comfortable you will not look confident. And let’s be clear, by comfortable I don’t mean oversize or frumpy. I mean soft fabrics. Seam-free lines. Nothing too tight. Or things that are light and airy. You know, pieces that look good and feel good. For me, this often starts with the right bra and underwear for my outfit, which is part of why partnering with Hanes.com on this Comfydence post was a no brainer.

If I don’t feel good in what I’m wearing I am prone to tugging, pulling, adjusting, anything to “fix” the discomfort. But if I am wearing something that I feel comfortable in, then it allows me to be present and focus on what’s going on around me. That in itself makes me happy and smiley and more confident. Being Comfydent in Hanes means I can focus on what matters!

Dan and I often go on date nights and aside from blog events, it’s the only time I get to dress up. We live in the greater Seattle area and the city is known for its casual style, but that doesn’t mean you can’t amp things up for a night out. Likewise fashion is finally starting to evolve to where you can be comfortable and dressy at the same time.

Now here’s where things get interesting. I know it’s not the easiest thing to pull off but lately I have been absolutely loving sheer. It’s so sexy and delicate. In the past I would have shied away from wearing sheer blouses without a tank top underneath. But I knew the bralette style of the Hanes Ultimate Comfy Support ComfortFlex Fit® Wire-free Bra would look great with a sheer blouse. Plus, because it’s more of a bralette than a bra so I don’t feel as exposed. In fact, it feels almost sporty.

Pairing the sheer blouse with the Hanes wire-free bra actually felt pretty great. If I didn’t feel as comfortable as I did, I absolutely would have felt self-conscious. But the bra totally put me at ease. I’ve always wanted to wear a sheer blouse with a bra but I didn’t know if I could pull it off. Feeling that confident in my skin instantly put me in a good mood. I felt sassier. And happier. I wasn’t pulling or trying to cover up because I knew that the bra would look flattering and allow me to be cool and comfortable.

Sheer isn’t the easiest thing to wear and you definitely need to be confident to pull it off. Being comfortable gives you more confidence. And being confident gives you more freedom to wear what you want to wear and experiment with your style. Like I have here with this sheer blouse.

I’m wearing the Hanes Ultimate Comfy Support ComfortFlex Fit® Wire-free Bra which is $34.00 and the Cool Comfort® Cotton Hipster Panties which are $13.00 for a pack of six! Deals! If you’re curious about other special offers or discounts head to Hanes.com.

The Hanes Ultimate Comfy Support ComfortFlex Fit® Wire-free Bra looks like a bralette, is wire-free but features a hook-eye closure. It’s designed with ComfortFlex Fit®, a smart sizing fabric which makes the bra super soft and stretchy. It also uses ComfortBlend® lining on cups and wings for a soft, cottony feel. What I love about this bra is that it offers support and a really pretty, smooth silhouette without the need for cushioned cups or wire. I’m wearing a size S but it comes in sizes S-2XL. This is awesome because I know how difficult it is for those who have larger chests to find the perfect wire-free bra.

I’m all for cotton underwear. That’s actually part of why I am such a huge fan of Hanes. They love cotton as much as I do! And I’ve found that it’s not always easy to find cute cotton underwear. So thank you to Hanes for having cute and comfortable cotton underwear that comes in a variety of colors and styles. I’m all about the hipster style so I went for the Cool Comfort® Cotton Hipster Panties. It sits right along the hips with a plush waistband for extra comfort. Another key feature is the Cool Comfort® wicking fabric which keeps you cool all day long. The hipster panties come in sizes 5-9. And I’m wearing a size 6 for reference.

I love this! YES to all things comfy too. Since working from home 95% of the time, I feel like i hardly get dressed – and even when I do get dressed up, I want to be comfy!

Thanks Grace! I feel you on that working from home thing. I spend way too much time in pjs or yoga pants so I’ve become accustomed to comfortable clothes at all times. But I also want to get dressed up every once in awhile!
