Buki invited me to pull a few pieces for some outfits that I will be sharing over the next few weeks. I’m really excited because one, this is the first time I’ve pulled pieces just for a photoshoot. So please let me nerd out on the fun of creative styling freedom. And two, Buki is having their pop-up shop on Nov 5 – 6th so I’m pumped to share these outfits just in time for that.

If you don’t already know about Buki then you should read my post about them. But let me quickly give you a rundown of the brand which I will be featuring for the rest of October. Buki is a Seattle-based luxury sportswear collection for men and women created by design industry veteran Joey Rodolfo. Think luxury sportswear. It’s sportswear as far as functionality but made for every day wear. You can take it from the work week to the weekend to your world travels. The collection features their proprietary Kinoki-3.0 fiber technology, which offers thermoregulation, moisture-management, and dynamic stretch recovery. And it’s all machine washable. What? Yes.

Now that you know a bit more about Buki and have put their pop-up shop in your calendar, let me tell you why I love this Boss Crew top from their fall collection. It’s the first piece I touched from the Buki line and I was immediately impressed by how soft and luxurious it felt. Made with their silky Kinoki™ Luxe fabric, the Boss Crew is machine washable, and features thermoregulation, moisture-management, and stretch & recovery, which means it won’t lose its shape even after multiple washes. But the main selling point to me is the amazing comfort.

I absolutely love that I don’t have to worry about pulling it to cover my bra straps or needing to constantly pull it down as I do with many tops. I can wear it confidently because it feels great and fits so well. You don’t even have to think about it. To me, that’s a big deal. Add in the fabric features and you have an incredible top that’s really chic.

I have never considered my style “minimalist”, however I am not huge fan of layering. This means my outfits tend are on the simpler side. My body type isn’t flattered by the look of a bunch of layers. I prefer comfort in the form of mobility. That being said, this outfit needs a jacket. No sweater. Nothing too heavy. And preferably a leather motorcycle jacket, or maybe a suede motorcycle jacket. Either way it should be short and edgy. I don’t own either (one day I will have my beloved leather jacket). But this outfit with the dark gray top, black skinny jeans, and booties is leaning towards edgy and sophisticated and could be even better with a nice badass leather piece to complete it.

It’s one thing to show you my favorite pieces, which I did a couple weeks ago after I went to their fall presentation. And another to put together outfits showing you how I’d style these pieces with my wardrobe. But the reality is you need to come down to the pop-up shop and feel the clothes for yourself. Because trust me, you need to feel these pieces. Look for more Buki content from me throughout October and remember to head down to the pop-up shop on Nov 5th-6th to see their insanely comfortable and flattering pieces. Especially the Boss Crew.

I like the drape of the fabric to add interest as well! Can’t wait for the pop up shop.

Yeah! Super chic. We should coordinate so we can see each other at the pop up shop! :)
